Lengers Yachts in Cannes: Amazing new Sanlorenzo Model and award winning Sales

Being at the Cotes d’ Azur is always nice: Blue skies, the French Savoir-vivre and beautiful people. However for the Lengers Yachts team this year’s trip to the yachting festival in Cannes turned out a real success.

“Winning the award for beging ‘Best new Debut’ for Sanlorenzo is very important to us”, a delighted Bas Lengers, owner of Lengers Yachts, explains. “It shows that the team’s relentless efforts to find new owners for the wonderful Sanlorenzo yachts is valued by the yard.  Even if we are only dealer for a bit more than half a year now”, Lengers adds. In this rather short period Lengers already managed to sell some 500 ft in different Sanlorenzo models. And with the introduction of the impressive Sanlorenzo SX-line in Cannes, with its masculine design and its huge beach club at the stern, the path  to further success is paved. She allready won“most avant-gard yacht” at World Yachts Trophies 2017 in Cannes. Who ever wants to take a look at the Sanlorenzo SX and visit the team of Lengers Yachts, Genoa boat Show runs from 21th until the 26th of September.

On the occasion of the World Yachts Trophies 2017 dedicated to the best yachts on display at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2017,  Sanlorenzo SX88 was awarded most innovative model of the year.

 SX88 (27 meters) is the new revolutionary crossover yacht designed and built by Sanlorenzo, such an innovative model in its technical and environmental solutions, in its exterior and interior design that the international committee created a specific category to include all her features: the “most avant-gard yacht” award.

SX88 is a model containing different “Firsts” by Sanlorenzo, a Copernican revolution based on some unique and distinguished keys that make the yacht original and innovative:

• Grp hull and carbon fibre superstructure
• Semi-displacement hull tested in the Wageningen (Holland) tank test to optimize the performances in the different speed range, up to 23 knots
• Open stern to fulfil the different functions of garage, beach club, and sport activity area
• Two main deck layouts: open space or owner’s cabin
• One steering position on flybridge, that can be closed and air-conditioned
• Advanced building process made on the open hull
• Highest environment sustainability attention thanks to the use of low impact materials and process.

SX88 will be exhibited at the Genoa International Boat Show from 21 to 26 September 2017.

It was in January of this year that Lengers Yachts in Muiden, on the outskirts of Amsterdam, was named as exclusive partner of  the Italian yard Sanlorenzo for Northern Europe. In only six months, no less than five yachts averaging 100 ft in length were sold. 

„Selling an SL 78, 106 and 118 as well as an SX 72 and 88 is what we call a perfect start“, says Bas Lengers, CEO of the Dutch company. „However the story has just begun. We are very close to finalising the contract on an Explorer 460 and we see an on going and keen demand for the yachts. No wonder, as they combine contemporary design and extraordinary quality“.

Located on the Southern part of the Lake Ijsselmeer, in between the mooring of the Royal Dutch Yacht and the famous former sea locks, Lengers is capable of delivering and servicing bigger yachts as well. A further sales office is located in Düsseldorf, right next to one of the most exclusive shopping centres in Germany, the so called „Kö“. „Ralf Eissing is doing an incredibly good job there for years now“, Lengers confirms. The next major step, says the CEO, will be the launch of the new SX-Line at the yachting festival in Cannes in September. „We will be present at Sanlorenzo´s booth and are looking forward to the further collaboration with the yard and of course our customers“.

Prestige: Stunning new models at Hiswa and  award for Lengers!

In 2015 Lengers Yachts in Muiden close to Amsterdam took over the dealership for Prestige Motor Yachts in the Netherlands and western Germany.  Only 24 months later, the Dutch company is named ‚Dealer of the Year’ for the French yachts that set the tone in their segment!   

“We are both delighted and proud to receive this salient award”, says Bas Lengers, CEO of the Dutch company. “And with the new Models  460 and 520 that will have their European and world premiere at the ‘Hiswa te water’ in Amsterdam in September, we are sure to further strengthen our position as one of the most successful dealers for Prestige”, Lengers puts forward. The trend towards flybridge yachts is coming to the northern parts of Europe as well. “However many of our customers enjoy their yachts in the med, where we are also present with our service people”, Lengers explains. The vast experience of the biggest yacht builder in the world, the Beneteau group being the parent of Prestige, combined with modern technologies such as joystick control and IPS-drives makes for a hassle free boating experience on both the 460 and the 520. “We are looking forward to meet customers and interested boaters on our booth on ‘Hiswa te water’ in Amsterdam and show them around on the two new centrepieces! Also the 560 and 630 from Prestige will be at display, as well as two ribs from Sacs”. So, plenty of reasons for a visit to the show in the exciting Dutch capital. The Amsterdam fair runs from 29^th  of August till 3^rd of September.

Sanlorenzo 460Exp X was awarded with the prestigious, international World Superyacht Award 2017 for Best Displacement motoryacht below 500GT (30mt to 42.9 mt.)

The prize giving ceremony was held in Florence, in the magnificent Palazzo Vecchio, where a selected jury of superyacht owners awarded a model from the Sanlorenzo’s Explorer line for the second year in a row, after Moka in 2016.

Sanlorenzo 460Exp, superyacht of 460 gross tons and 42 meters in length, is inspired by big exploration vessels capable of reaching out far destinations with maximum safety and comfort, associated with high autonomy for long navigation

Since Moka’s debut in 2015, 5 explorer units have already been sold to owners from different markets, such as the US, Mexico, Europe, Russia and China, proving the line is enjoying huge international success.

Sanlorenzo is currently operational at 3 different production sites: Ameglia, Viareggio and the new Sanlorenzo Superyacht facility in La Spezia dedicated to the construction of superyachts in metal from 40 up to over 80 meters in length.

One month after the first Sanlorenzo’s 52-meter model debut – 52Steel Seven Sins, that officially signed the opening of the imposing production site in La Spezia (Sanlorenzo Superyacht Division) – the launch season in Sanlorenzo continues in its Ameglia and Viareggio sites.

In just 5 days, Sanlorenzo managed to launch 3 motoryachts of more than 24 meters in length, each one made to measure according to the style and requests of their owners, like every Sanlorenzo since 1958:

• SL86 Taiji: a 26.76-meter, planing motoryacht in fiberglass, the 9^th hull sold so far since the debut of the first SL86 model in 2015, and the first Sanlorenzo for this French owner.
• SL96 Francamarina: a 29.10-meter, planing motoryacht for an Italian owner, who celebrated this important moment with his friends, family and the shipyard’s workforce.
• SD126 Y4H: a semidisplacement superyacht in fiberglass of 38 meters in length and second Sanlorenzo model for its German owner.

 Today Sanlorenzo is based on 3 different production sites (Ameglia, Viareggio and La Spezia) and offers 4 ranges of models:  the SL line (from 25 to 37 meters), the SD line (from 28 to 34 meters), the new SX line debuting at Cannes Yachting Festival 2017, and the Sanlorenzo Superyacht, from 40 to more than 60 meters).
